Leadership

Chris Straw, CEO

Chris Straw discovered his passion for technology as a kid. Born and raised in Indiana, Chris got his associates degree in computer programming technology from Vincennes University. He developed his real-world skills as a programmer/analyst for Farm Bureau Insurance. There he also developed and managed the company’s Personal Lines IT System. Later Chris served as a consultant and key software architect for Indecon where he refined his expert skills in software engineering, ASP, .NET, SQL Server, C++, MFC, COM, ATL, and other technologies.

OuterLimits Technologies was born in 2003 when Chris made his vision for providing top-notch software solutions a reality. He saw a need for an experienced, quality technology company—and one that could work with clients’ individual needs and budgets.

Chris and his company have served clients in all kinds of industries. For example, Chris led the development of Indiana’s online vehicle registration, delivering a cost savings of more than $4.5 million to the state. He also served as a consultant to the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration, saving the agency millions by streamlining its contract and claims processing procedures.

Outside of OuterLimits, Chris is a member of the Referral Institute Indiana and the Mooresville Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the board of Plainfield Rainmakers and was the vice president of the Brownsburg BNI chapter. He’s a member of Verge, the Indianapolis tech/startup group and teaches Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace classes at his church. He’s passionate about kids, too, and volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Chris lives in Plainfield, Indiana, with his wife, Amanda, and their sons, Xander and Isaac.
